This week in the saga
The departing king delivers his final address, and from the dark of the tower the verdict is carved in real time: boring, rambling, non-substantive. Then the sea brings humiliation — ten sailors kneeling on a foreign deck, images that brand themselves into him: he will NOT forget. And at the sixth podium duel the true rivalry finally ignites. The courtier Teddo sneers at the values of New York, and DONARUDO raises the wounded skyline itself like a banner, then turns the courtier's own gold against him — the loans, the banks, the bosses. The week closes with a summons to the plains: a great announcement waits in Ames.
