WEEK 039 / 073 — Smoke Over Chicago
MARCH 11, 2016. CHICAGO. For the first time in the war, a rally does not happen. The hall is taken before the champion arrives, and the night belongs to the mob.
“The organized group of people, many of them thugs, who shut down our First Amendment rights in Chicago, have totally energized America!”
The next morning, in Dayton, a man rushes the stage itself. Hands catch him at the podium's edge.
USSS did an excellent job stopping the maniac running to the stage. He has ties to ISIS. Should be in jail!
It is Clinton and Sanders people who disrupted my rally in Chicago - and then they say I must talk to my people. Phony politicians!
“Bernie Sanders is lying when he says his disruptors aren't told to go to my events. Be careful Bernie, or my supporters will go to yours!”

This week in the saga
The saga's darkest week yet: in Chicago the rally is shut down by organized disruption, and the hall dissolves into fighting before DONARUDO ever takes the stage. In Dayton a man rushes the podium and is dragged down at its very edge; DONARUDO names the other kingdom's champions as the hands behind the chaos and warns the wild sage plainly. Yet Ohio still turns out in the tens of thousands, and the road bends south toward Florida and the Ides of March.
