This week in the saga
Friday morning the alliance that would not join the war is called a paper tiger, and cowards, and told it will be remembered. That evening the objectives are listed as if the thing were a contract nearly discharged, and the strait is declared somebody else's job. Saturday the airports become the next front: sign the agreement or the immigration officers are moved to the terminals. Saturday afternoon a man who investigated him for two years dies, and the whole entry is nineteen words long, and glad. That night the strait is given forty-eight hours before the power plants start going, biggest first. And Monday morning, in capital letters, the strikes are postponed for five days because the conversations have been very good and productive.
