DONARUDO
WEEK 079 / 083 The Electors Speak
Vol. 2 ·  Chapter 8 The Transition · Dec 13 – Dec 19, 2016
Manga panel 1 of 5, Week 79 “The Electors Speak”: Donarudo presents his choice for secretary of state: a silver-haired oil baron before a wall-sized map of the world.
DECEMBER 13. FOR THE KINGDOM'S FOREIGN MINISTER, HE SUMMONS AN OIL BARON WHO HAS BARGAINED WITH HALF THE CROWNS OF THE EARTH.
I have chosen one of the truly great business leaders of the world, Rex Tillerson, Chairman and CEO of ExxonMobil, to be Secretary of State.
Manga panel 2 of 5, Week 79 “The Electors Speak”: Outside the iron railings of the lit mansion, Donarudo demands to know why the alarm over hacking came only after the loss.
If Russia, or some other entity, was hacking, why did the White House wait so long to act? Why did they only complain after Hillary lost?
Manga panel 3 of 5, Week 79 “The Electors Speak”: A foreign crane hoists a captured research drone from the gray swell, and Donarudo shrugs: let them keep it.
We should tell China that we don't want the drone they stole back.- let them keep it!
Manga panel 4 of 5, Week 79 “The Electors Speak”: Electors sign their certificates at wooden desks while protesters crowd the capitol windows outside in the cold.
If my many supporters acted and threatened people like those who lost the election are doing, they would be scorned & called terrible names!
Manga panel 5 of 5, Week 79 “The Electors Speak”: Arms spread beneath a constellation of three hundred and four elector lights, Donarudo celebrates the vote made official.
We did it! Thank you to all of my great supporters, we just officially won the election (despite all of the distorted and inaccurate media).

This week in the saga

For foreign minister he summons an oil baron who has bargained with half the crowns of the earth. The hacking question is answered with questions; a stolen drone is waved away with a shrug; and in fifty capitols the electors sign their certificates while protesters press against the glass. On December 19 the constellation ignites: 304. What the impossible night promised, the law now seals.
