This week in the saga

The long march through Asia. In Seoul he stands an hour from the hermit kingdom's border and warns: do not try us. In Beijing the Forbidden City itself opens for him — an emperor's welcome — and at the banquet he absolves his host of everything. A corridor handshake with the bear. Then, at midnight in Hanoi, the week's true duel: the young ruler across the sea has called him OLD, and the answer — that he would NEVER call him short and fat — crosses the world before dawn.
