This week in the saga

Volume six opens with the court still running on paper. Forty-one sheets go out this week: endorsements for the loyal, a war-cry against the disloyal, and two documents that matter more than anyone yet knows. The first answers a story about boxes handed back to the National Archives — nothing was found, the letterhead insists, it was all ordinary and routine. The second marks the accountants of thirty years walking away from his books, broken, he says, by prosecutors. And on the last day of the week, Presidents' Day, the network that carries his name finally opens its doors to the public. A million people walk in. The account at the top of it still holds a single post, a week old — get ready — and nothing else.
