This week in the saga
Tuesday a jury convicts the militia chief who came to Washington for him — seditious conspiracy. The party's papers now ask their question in print, the old lion or the young governor, and he answers it the only way he ever has. Friday at midnight the bird-site's files start coming out and he reads them in the dark; by Saturday morning he has written the post that will follow him for years — a fraud of this magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, even those found in the Constitution. The White House calls it an attack on the charter itself. Monday he plants his feet: the coverage, he says, is the disinformation.
