WEEK 440 / 583 The Sister
Vol. 7 ·  Chapter 47 The Ballot · Nov 14 – Nov 20, 2023
Manga panel 1 of 4, Week 440 “The Sister”: Alone at the head of a bare table in grey daylight: his sister the judge has died, and for one morning the chronicle is an obituary.
THE WINTER TAKES FROM HIM TOO. HIS SISTER, THE JUDGE, DIES AT EIGHTY-SIX.
My great sister, Maryanne, passed away yesterday at the age of 86. A truly beautiful woman, tall and elegant, with a presence like no other, she was also a tremendous student, intellect, and Judge, in charge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, just below the U.S. Supreme Court
Manga panel 2 of 4, Week 440 “The Sister”: The appeals court that keeps overturning the gag order: empty stone steps in hard light, and his gloating carries from somewhere off-panel.
TWO DAYS LATER THE APPELLATE DIVISION STAYS THE GAG ORDER. FOURTH TIME.
Judge Arthur Engoron has just been overturned (stayed!) by the New York State Appellate Division (Appeals Court), for the 4th TIME (on the same case!)
Manga panel 3 of 4, Week 440 “The Sister”: Fort Dodge, Iowa, at night: from a plain podium he starts the countdown — fifty-eight days to the first vote of the comeback.
SATURDAY, IOWA. THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS.
THANK YOU, IOWA!!! We are just 58 DAYS AWAY from Iowa’s First in the Nation Caucuses. On Monday, January 15th, we are going to WIN the Iowa Caucuses, we are going to crush Crooked Joe Biden next November, and we are going to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Manga panel 4 of 4, Week 440 “The Sister”: Shot from below against a vast night sky, jaw set: the countdown becomes a creed — the final battle, and every enemy on the list named.
BY NIGHTFALL THE COUNTDOWN IS A CREED.
2024 is our final battle. With you at my side, we will demolish the Deep State, we will expel the warmongers from our government, we will drive out the globalists, we will cast out the Communists, Marxists, and Fascists

This week in the saga

The winter takes from him too. His older sister — the judge, the one the family measured itself against — dies at eighty-six, and for one morning the war chronicle reads like an obituary written by a brother. The courts give the grief no room: within two days the appellate division stays the gag order for the fourth time, and he walks out of the ruling swinging. By the weekend he is in Iowa, in the cold of Fort Dodge, counting down — fifty-eight days to the caucuses, the first real vote of the comeback — and by nightfall the count has become a creed: 2024 is the final battle, and every enemy of the long list gets named. The sister is buried; the campaign does not stop moving.
