IN IOWA, A GOVERNOR'S ENDORSEMENT BUYS THE RIVAL NOTHING. THE DEFENDANT CHOOSES THE IMAGE HIMSELF.
Kim Reynolds of Iowa has gone from a popular Governor to the MOST UNPOPULAR GOVERNOR IN THE UNITED STATES, not an easy feat. Her Endorsement of Ron DeSanctimonious, who is 50 Points down to me in the Polls, has given him exactly ZERO “Bounce.” He is a wounded bird falling violently from the sky…

物語
This week in the saga
Thanksgiving week, and the saga's holidays are never truces. First the rival: an Iowa governor's endorsement buys the challenger nothing, and the chronicle records the image the defendant chooses for him — a wounded bird falling violently from the sky. Then, at three minutes past two on Thanksgiving morning, the most infamous holiday greeting of the winter: thanks given to ALL, including the racist attorney general, the psycho judge, and every last enemy on the list, each named with a carver's care. By morning the sarcasm has burned off and what is left sounds almost like the beginning: our country is in serious trouble — we don't have victories anymore. The week ends in a stadium in the rival kingdom of South Carolina, where the crowd at a college football game roars for the invader, and the grin comes back.
