Manga panel 1 of 5, Week 457 “The Nominee”: Alone on an emptied stage near midnight, confetti dead on the boards: the delegate count closes, and the nomination is his a third time.
TUESDAY NIGHT THE DELEGATE MATH CLOSES. NOMINEE — A THIRD TIME.
(It is my great honor to be representing the Republican Party as its Presidential Nominee.)
Manga panel 2 of 5, Week 457 “The Nominee”: Applause rises toward the podium light where a slender figure speaks: the party's new co-chair is family now, and the machinery answers to the name.
THE PARTY'S NEW CO-CHAIR IS FAMILY. HE APPLAUDS FROM THE WINGS.
Proud of Lara. Big things happening!!!
Manga panel 3 of 5, Week 457 “The Nominee”: A finger jabbed down at the lens-faced press pen: the weekend's word was bloodbath, and Monday is spent fighting it.
SATURDAY GIVES THEM A WORD — “BLOODBATH.” MONDAY HE FIGHTS IT.

NOON: THE CHALLENGE GOES OUT.
IT’S TIME FOR CROOKED JOE BIDEN AND I TO DEBATE - WE OWE IT TO OUR COUNTRY. ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE!
Manga panel 5 of 5, Week 457 “The Nominee”: Half-turned from the tower glass above the city: thirty bond companies have said no to half a billion — and none of it slows the march to the rematch.
EVENING: THE BOND HUNT. THIRTY COMPANIES HAVE SAID NO TO HALF A BILLION.
I built a Magnificent Business, which helped rebuild New York City and State, with Amazing, Unparalleled, Historic Properties and tons of CASH, which Crooked Joe Biden and his Maniac Persecutors are trying to wrongfully and illegally take from me.
NOMINEE AGAIN. THE TRIAL IN FOUR WEEKS. THE BOND IN SEVEN DAYS. THE REMATCH NOBODY CHOSE IS SET. CHAPTER 48 CLOSES.

This week in the saga

Tuesday night the delegate math closes: the count crosses the line and the nomination is his a third time, sealed near midnight with the arenas empty. Wednesday he salutes the daughter-in-law now co-chairing the party. The weekend hands the press a single word — bloodbath — and Monday he spends the morning fighting it, noon demanding a debate, and evening explaining that half a billion dollars is a bond no company will write: thirty have said no. The first criminal trial is four weeks out. The bond comes due in seven days. The rematch nobody chose is set. CHAPTER 48 CLOSES.
