This week in the saga
The final day dawns beneath the tower with the saga's loudest cry, and then there is nothing left to do but wait. He votes, he urges the army on while the polls still breathe — Florida, Florida — and high in the tower with his family he watches the map turn state by impossible state. At three in the morning the chronicle records the words no one believed it would ever write: the forgotten man and woman will never be forgotten again, and the volume closes on a President-elect.
