Wow, television ratings just out: 31 million people watched the Inauguration, 11 million more than the very good ratings from 4 years ago!
Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election! Why didn't these people vote? Celebs hurt cause badly.

This week in the saga

The chapter of American Carnage opens with the oath itself: the motorcade at dawn, the right hand raised before the dome, and the address that names the age — the people, he declares, are the rulers again. The vast halftone crowd on the Mall becomes, within forty-eight hours, the first battlefield of the reign: not a war over policy but over the size of a crowd, fought from an armchair against a wall of televisions.
