This week in the saga

The summit week. In the old city on the Vistula he plants a flag for civilization itself; then the corridor of twenty nations, and the meeting the whole world is watching — two chairs, a wall of flags, a handshake, two hours that become four, and no record but the interpreters' memories. Flying home he proposes an impenetrable cyber shield built with the very kingdom accused of the raid — and takes it back before the aircraft lands. Both messages verbatim, twelve hours apart.
