This week in the saga
Denied his Wall by the siege, he seizes emergency power to build it by decree and roars that the Wall is going up regardless. He thanks his loyalists for holding the line, and then a hostile tribunal hands him a gift — no evidence, it finds, of the collusion he has been accused of for two years. He casts the whispered talk of removing him as a lawless coup, and with the tide turning brands the hostile press once more the enemy of the people.
