This week in the saga

At last the great sealed report is flung open, and before the world can read a page he claims the whole of it: no collusion, no obstruction. But the pages bite back, and he rages at the report as a corrupt hunt that spied on his campaign, then turns the tables — demanding how a president can be impeached for a crime he says the other side committed. For one bright morning he lets himself simply be content, calling himself happier than ever. And he closes the chapter with the old war-cry of grievance, victorious at last — even as, unseen, the next battle over a single phone call begins to dial.
