He publishes the date again in capitals, and the buses are already being booked. On the second of January he spends an hour on the telephone with a southern official, asking him to find votes. There is no post about it. In public he says only that the votes to flip the state are already there. He flies south on the fourth for two senate seats, and the realm hears about the sixth all night.
