This week in the saga
On the first of July a grand jury in Manhattan indicts the company that carries his name and the man who has kept its books for forty-eight years. Eleven publications leave the office in seven days: seven of them are other people's articles saying the case is a hunt rather than a prosecution, one is four lines of his own, one announces a second rally in Florida, one announces that on the seventh he will say something about the First Amendment, and the last, on Independence Day, is six words long.
