Two lists come off the same desk this week. On the twenty-first a paper tells the Sixth District of Texas to go out and vote for a candidate and gives her a Complete and Total Endorsement; the same day another paper names a Republican state senator in Arizona a RINO if there ever was one and points at the man primarying him. On the twenty-fourth he flies to Arizona to speak, and the paper announcing it ends the way the office now ends things: a list of the channels that will carry him, and the word Enjoy. On the twenty-sixth the attorney general of Texas is crowned. The machine has two settings and it runs both of them in one week.
