This week in the saga
On the twentieth of August five endorsements are signed in one day — a Senate candidate in Nevada, a state senator in Michigan, three more behind them — and the same day the office publishes a single line reporting that something is trending on the platform that removed him. He reads it on paper, because paper is how he reads everything now. On the twenty-first the field in Cullman, Alabama is full before the doors open. Twenty-nine papers go out this week and twenty of them are about a country eight thousand miles away, but the one the crowd came for is the one he delivers standing up, in front of them, out loud.
