This week in the saga

The week holds both ways back at once. On the eighteenth a Wisconsin state representative puts forward a resolution to decertify the 2020 election — twelve and a half months after it was counted — and the office congratulates him at length. On the nineteenth a jury in Kenosha acquits, and congratulations go out within the hour. And on the same day, two lines pointing at another man's byline announce the thing that will actually reach people: a book of his own photographs, sold direct, requiring nobody's permission and no state legislature's vote. One route runs backwards through the courts and the chambers. The other is a book on a table.
