The week the two calendars run side by side. In New York a state attorney general moves to put him under oath, and the reply is a page and a half of letterhead accusing her of weaponising the office she holds — a document that reaches everyone except a court. In Texas the history tour plays two arenas on consecutive nights, Houston then Dallas, and both of them fill. Between the two he takes the word insurrection off the sixth of January and puts it on the third of November, which is the argument of the whole exile compressed into one line. He calls the weekend two great days. Nothing in the winter moves for either of them.
