This week in the saga
The week opens past midnight on the old wound — a complete and total weaponization of law enforcement, staffed by his enemies' own lawyers. Then Tuesday night the usurper addresses the nation, and he settles onto the couch to call the play by play: the Speaker fighting sleep, the senator from the other kingdom gone wild, the old Senate general looking like Hell. And near midnight the critic files his last note, and it is almost kind — he worked hard tonight, credit for trying. Good night everybody, and God bless America.
