This week in the saga

The first general has fallen, and the king's question is not why he lied but who told. The week becomes a war over the telling itself: Russia dismissed as cover, a seventy-seven-minute press-room duel, and then the declaration that gives the week its name — the press, he writes, is the enemy of the American people. It ends where he is strongest: a hangar in Florida, arms wide, ten thousand voices answering.
