This week in the saga
Fireworks over the club on the Fourth, two indictments carried and two grand juries still sitting. Then Wednesday's absurdity: a small bag of cocaine found inside the West Wing, and for once the questions all point the other way — he demands the security tapes, the White House kind, like the ones he says he happily handed over. Friday brings a televised audience with the exiled broadcaster and talk of the war in Europe. And at first light on the range he types that the law itself has been weaponized. Somewhere north, a letter is being drafted.
